There's nothing like a good quote. Sometimes they motivate and inspire, sometimes they underline a point you are trying to make, make you laugh or cry...and sometimes they do nothing really, but somehow they make you feel better.
There's a lot of lists of travel related quotes online so I'm not necessarily compiling anything new or groundbreaking here. But this is my own list, made up of quotes found in all the things that I like - songs and films and poems and also some by philosophers and writers and world leaders and etc etc. I don't think that you have to go far to have an adventure but if you do go far, you should have some good sayings, lyrics, rhymes and other lines of prose rattling around in your brain to guide you. Also, if you go to the next county or even to the end of the road and then find something you didn't know was there. So here it is. A list of travel quotes that will continue until the list runs out. It's a little less 'travel is clarity' (because I hate that sort of nonsense) and a little more 'sarcastic yet heartwarming'. Find one you like, write it down and take it with you. Then think about it while you're standing in the desert, staring at a temple, eating local cuisine, learning a new language, getting lost at the airport, road tripping in your beat up little car, photographing a penguin and contemplating the universe.
